Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury has insisted that finishing the Premier League season is a priority in England once it becomes safe enough to do so.
His words come after Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino claimed the Premier League will soon release a statement announcing the cancellation of the 2019-20 season.
Udinese share owners with Watford but, according to The Mirror, Duxbury said: ‘The discussions Watford and all the clubs have had with the Premier League make it clear the overriding ambition is to finish the season but only when it is completely safe to do so.
